Beef Butter Rice

We like rice in this house. I wanted one to complement steak and diane or peppercorn sauce and I felt like the beef in this would work well. It takes an hour but it's so easy there's practically no work to do. Thumbs up.



Ingredients

 

  • 2 cups long grain rice

  • 1 tin French onion soup

  • 1 tin beef consume/stock

  • 100g unsalted butter, sliced thinly

 

Method

 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C.

  2. Combine the ingredients in a casserole dish.

  3. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.

  4. Bake uncovered for a further 30 minutes.

  5. Remove from the oven and fluff with a fork.
