Updated Recipe!
Well these are a cheeky delicious surprise. Saw them on a slimming site so obviously changed up the recipe. All of the joy of a burger but in better bread!
Side note: Two is too many. Have one with some chips. Recipe makes 4 but if you don't have guests you can reheat the mixture the next day.
The burger seasoning makes more than you need but can be kept for other recipes (burgers for example!). Store in a cool, dry place between uses.
Sometimes I half the mince and do half burger, half Mexican burrito mix, then cut the wraps in half to share.
Ingredients
For the burger seasoning
1 tbsp paprika
1 ¼ tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp brown sugar
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp ground cayenne pepper
For the burritos
500g beef mince
1 - 2 tbsp burger seasoning - I used one tbsp but you might like more kick. I would suggest using one then tasting once the mince has cooked and adding a bit more if needed.
4 x Tortillas
Cheese - any kind, I currently love primula squeezy burger cheese
1tbsp crispy fried onions (you can replace with 1 x fresh onion, diced, and cook with mince)
Handful of Gherkins, chopped
2 x tbsp burger sauce (can be any but I used my big mac sauce recipe)
Olive oil
Method
Mix up the burger seasoning ingreeds.
Fry off the mince with 1tbsp burger seasoning, until the mince has cooked through.
Add in the gherkins and fried onions and cook for another two minutes.
Assemble the wraps with the mince mixture, cheese and burger sauce, wrap in tin foil and pop in the oven for 5 minutes OR li9ghtly spray with frylight and airfry at 160C for 5 minutes.
