This is mega easy but SUPER rich. You do not need garlic bread with it, especially not a garlic bread wrap. Go for salad. This is really good if you like a creamy pasta but with a bit more flavour.
Ingredients
500g spaghetti
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 large shallot, thinly sliced
2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
Salt and black pepper
1½ tsp ground turmeric
1 cup single cream
2 cups grated Parmesan.
4 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley or chive
Method
Cook spaghetti and drain, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
Melt butter in a large pan and add the shallot, garlic, salt and pepper and cook until golden-brown, 3 to 4 mins.
Add turmeric and stir to toast, about 30 secs.
Slowly whisk in the cream then bring to a simmer.
Whisk in the 2 cups of Parmesan.
Add the cooked spaghetti and reserved pasta cooking liquid and toss to coat.
Mix in chopped herbs.
