Hanger Steak with Balsamic Steak Marinade

This is a fantastic cut of beef which I've only just discovered. It's known as the butcher's cut as they know it has more flavour. The marinade really tenderises the meat. I feel like if you marinade to tenderise, it's like a more tasty (and much cheaper) fillet.


I buy mine from Campbell's.

Ingredients


  • 2 hanger steaks

  • 4 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar

  • 4 tbs Worcestershire sauce

  • 4 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 2 tsp minced garlic

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Blend ingredients and marinade steak for at least 4 hours

  2. Take out of fridge and bring to room temp

  3. Sear for 6 mins each side

  4. Rest
